Department of Theatre & Dance Community Dance Program

Dance Program for Children and Adults

The Department of Theatre and Dance offers an inclusive program of dance instruction for children and adults throughout the year. We provide a diverse range of classes in creative movement, classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theatre for ages 3 and up. The dance curriculum instills a solid understanding of proper technique and terminology, culminating in two annual performances. The program’s award-winning show, "The Nutcracker," in December and the Spring Dance Concert in May are family friendly productions based on age-appropriate music, choreography, and costumes. Director Natalie King and Dance Lecturer Juliana Freude are both highly qualified movement educators with MFA degrees in dance. Instructing alongside them are accomplished Georgia College undergraduate dance students.
